LIVIGNO—OUR FIRST ALPINE RETREAT
September in Livigno is truly one of a kind-the air becomes crisp, the light turns golden, and the mountains reveal their most intimate beauty. Since the beginning of Lora, we have dreamed of bringing together a small group of women to experience the magic of Italian alpine life: vast silent valleys, wild botanical trails, and the warmth of a shared table.
Together, we’ll hike through glacier views and hidden meadows, following the "flow"-taking time to pause, breathe in the scent of wild herbs, and fully take it all in. This journey is about more than just the trail; it’s about discovering the secrets of the earth and finding ourselves in the rhythm of the mountains.
Whether we are sharing a meal at an old agriturismo or enjoying a dinner at home, this retreat is an invitation to slow down. It is a space to share the experience with like-minded women, to reset, and to feel inspired by the simple, powerful well-being that only the Alps can give us.

INCLUDED
Accommodation: 3 nights in our Alpine home, nestled in the heart of Livigno. Rooms are shared with another guest. Includes 3 delicious, locally sourced (km 0) breakfasts to start your mountain mornings right.
Food: all meals except one dinner & one lunch.
Hike: We will explore different trails together each day.
Workshop: a deep dive into local flora and the natural rhythm of the Alps.

Travel to Livigno: You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from the accommodation.

Personal insurance: As we’ll be exploring the beauty of both the Italian and Swiss Alps, please make sure your travel insurance is active and covers activities in Switzerland. Having insurance for unexpected events is your responsibility (we personally recommend IATI).

HIKES
We’ll do a hike each day, mixing it up depending on what weather conditions we’ll get. This trip is designed for all levels but since we will be hiking every day we recommend having a basic fitness level and feel comfortable hiking 500-900 verticals per day. We always hike at a slow pace so everyone feels comfortable, for us it’s all about enjoying beautiful days outside
HOW TO GET THERE
CAR we provide transfer from Tirano but if you prefer to travel with a car and enjoy a roadtrip through this magical landscape, you are welcome to do so.

Thursday -10 Sept
We'll pick you up at Tirano station and head to our traditional agriturismo in Livigno to meet the rest of the girls. We’ll kick off the weekend together with a warm, exclusive, homemade welcome aperitivo and unbox your exclusive welcome gifts before settling into the mountain vibe.
Friday - 11 Sept
We’ll start the day right with a delicious, homemade breakfast to fuel up for the adventure ahead. Then, weather permitting, we’ll head into Switzerland for a breathtaking morning hike through the majestic Morteratsch Glacier views. In the evening, we'll return to Livigno for a magical dinner at a traditional agriturismo, tasting delicious, authentic local dishes.
Saturday - 12 Sept
We’ll begin our morning with a slower-paced hike up to Malga San Colombano to breathe in the fresh alpine air and enjoy the stunning views. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Bormio Botanical Garden for an exclusive workshop dedicated to discovering the secrets, colors, and magic of alpine flowers and wild plants. To wrap up the day, we’ll gather back at our Alpine home to enjoy cooking all together for a special, homemade dinner.
Sunday - 13 Sept
After a delicious, slow breakfast together, soaking in the final mountain vibes over coffee, it’s time to pack our bags. For those traveling by train, we’ll drive you back to Tirano station, and then it’s time to say our goodbyes.

WHERE WE’LL STAY
We have chosen a traditional local agriturismo, a place where time slows down and mountain life is lived for real.
Every morning starts with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the farm. Each evening, you can join the daily milking of the cows—a ritual that connects us back to the land.
The rooms are simple, cozy, and designed for shared rest.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
To book a spot on this retreat, a booking fee of €434 is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance of €245 for the accommodation package must be paid directly to our partner agriturismo. Every participant needs their own travel insurance that covers them and the activities mentioned at the retreat. Lora Retreats are not liable in terms of injuries or similar sustained damage for the duration of the trip. We will be sending out a waiver to sign upon booking so that we know that you have read and understood the terms.
Our cancellation and refund policy follows a strict timeline based on your booking date. If you do want to cancel please get in touch immediately and we will do our best to help. For full details on refund percentages and specific cut-off dates (including our partial and no-refund periods), please visit our Info. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person who can take your place.
When booking a retreat with us, you are thereby accepting the previous mentioned and upcoming terms and conditions, including our cancellation policy.

Our hikes are designed for those who enjoy movement and being outdoors. You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy 3-4 hours of walking at an easy pace.

Absolutely. Most of our guests join us on their own. LORA is designed to be a space where you can find community and new friends within an intimate circle.

Tirano is well-connected by train from Milan (Milano Centrale). Once you reach the station, we will provide a pick-up service at two scheduled times to bring you to Livigno. Detailed travel instructions will be sent to you after booking.

Expect mountain weather. We recommend layers: hiking boots, a waterproof jacket, comfortable leggings and a reusable water bottle. A detailed packing list will be shared with you before the retreat.

Yes. LORA is a space specifically dedicated to women. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive and inspiring environment where women can reconnect with nature and each other through shared experiences and conversation.

We understand that plans can change! If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible via email. Our refund policy for the €434 LORA booking fee is strictly based on the following timeline:
Until June 30th: You will receive a 100% full refund of your booking fee.
From July 1st to July 30th: You will receive a 50% refund (€217).
From August 1st onwards: No refunds can be issued, as all local arrangements and bookings will be fully finalized.

Yes! If you are unable to attend but can find another woman to take your place, we will gladly transfer your booking to her name at any time with zero additional fees.
